Munajaate Hazrat Ali A.s

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْـمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

اللّٰھُمَّ انِّيْ اَسْئَلُكَ الْاَمَانَ يَوْمَ لَا يَنْفَعُ مَالٌ وَّلَا بَنُوْنَ اِلَّا مَنْ اَ تَي اللّهُ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيْمٍ اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنِّيْٓ اَسْئَلُكَ الْاَمَانَ يَوْمَ يَعَضُّ الظَّالِمُ عَلٰي يَدَيْهِ يَقُوْلُ يَا لَيْتَنِي اتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ الرَّسُوْلِ سَبِيْلًا وَاَسْئَلُكَ الْاَمَانَ يَوْمَ يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ بِسِيْمَاھُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِيْ وَالْاَقْدَام وَاَسْئَلُكَ الْاَمَانَ يَوْمَ لَا يَجْزِيْ وَالِدٌ عَنْ وَلَدِهٖ وَّلَا مَوْلُودٌ ھُوَ جَازٍ عَنْ وَّالِدِهٖ شَيْئًا اِنَّ وَعْدَ اللّهِ حَقٌّوَاَسْئَلُكَ الْاَمَانَ يَوْمَ لَا يَنْفَعُ الظَّالِمِيْنَ مَعْذِرَتُھُمْ وَلَھُمُ اللَّعْنَةُ وَلَھُمْ سُوْئُ الدَّارِ وَاَسْئَلُكَ الْاَمَانَ يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِنَفْسٍ شَيْئًا وَالْاَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ ﷲِ وَاسْئَلُكَ الْاَمَانَ يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ الْمَرْئُ مِنْ اَخِيْهِ وَاُمِّهِ وَاَبِيْهِ وَصَاحِبَتِهِ وَبَنِيْهِ لِكُلِّ امْرِءٍ مِنْھُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَاْنٌ يُغْنِيْهِوَاَسْئَلُكَ الْاَمَانَ يَوْمَ يَوَدُّ الْمُجْرِمُ لَوْ يَفْتَدِيْ مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِبَنِيْهِ وَصَاحِبَتِهٖ وَاَخِيْهِ وَفَصِيْلَتِهِ الَّتِيْ تُؤْوِيْهِ وَمَنْ فِي الْاَرْضِ جَمِيْعًا ثُمَّ يُنْجِيْهِ كَلَّا انَّھَا لَظٰي نَزَّاعَةً لِلشَّوٰي

مَوْلَايَ يَامَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ الْمَوْلٰي وَاَنَا الْعَبْدُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْعَبْدَ اِلَّا الْمَوْلٰي

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ الْمَالِكُ وَاَنَا الْمَمْلُوْكُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمَمْلُوْكَ اِلَّا الْمَالِكُ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ الْعَزِيْزُ وَاَنَا الذَّلِيْلُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الذَّلِيْلَ اِلَّا الْعَزِيزُ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ الْخَالِقُ وَاَنَا الْمَخْلُوْقُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمَخْلُوْقَ ِالَّا الْخَالِقُ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ الْعَظِيْمُ وَاَنَا الْحَقِيْرُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْحَقِيْرَ اِلَّا الْعَظِيْمُ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ الْقَوِيُّ وَاَنَا الضَّعِيْفُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الضَّعِيْفَ اِلَّا الْقَوِيُّ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَ نْتَ الْغَنِيُّ وَاَ نَا الْفَقِيْرُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْفَقِيْرَ اِلَّا الْغَنِيُّ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ الْمُعْطِيْ وَاَنَا السَّآئِلُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ السَّآئِلَ اِلَّا الْمُعْطِيْ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ الْحَيُّ وَاَنَا الْمَيِّتُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمَيِّتَ اِلَّا الْحَيُّ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَ نْتَ الْبَاقِيْ وَاَ نَا الْفَانِيْ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْفَانِيْ اِلَّا الْبَاقِيْ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ الدَّآئِمُ وَاَنَا الزَّآئِلُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الزَّآئِلَ اِلَّا الدَّآئِمُ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ الرَّازِقُ وَاَنَا الْمَرْزُوْقُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمَرْزُوْقَ اِلَّا الرَّازِقُ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَ نْتَ الْجَوَادُ وَاَنَا الْبَخِيْلُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْبَخِيْلَ اِلَّا الْجَوَادُ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَ نْتَ الْمُعَافِي وَاَنَا الْمُبْتَلٰي وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمُبْتَلٰي اِلَّا الْمُعَافِي

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ الْكَبِيْرُ وَاَنَا الصَّغِيْرُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الصَّغِيْرَ اِلَّا الْكَبِيْرُ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ الْھَادِيْ وَاَنَا الضَّآلَّ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الضَّآلَّ اِلَّا الْھَادِيْ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ الرَّحْمٰنُ وَاَنَا الْمَرْحُوْمُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمَرْحُوْمَ اِلَّا الرَّحْمٰنُ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ السُّلْطَانُ وَاَنَا الْمُمْتَحَنُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمُمْتَحَنَ اِلَّا السُّلْطَانُ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ الدَّلِيْلُ وَاَنَا الْمُتَحَيِّرُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمُتَحَيِّرَ اِلَّا الدَّلِيْلُ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ الْغَفُوْرُ وَاَنَا الْمُذْنِبُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمُذْنِبَ اِلَّا الْغَفُوْرُ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ الْغَالِبُ وَاَنَا الْمَغْلُوْبُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمَغْلُوْبَ اِلَّا الْغَالِبُ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ الرَّبُّ وَاَنَا الْمَرْبُوْبُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمَرْبُوْبَ اِلَّا الرَّبُّ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَنْتَ الْمُتَكَبِّرُ وَاَنَا الْخَاشِعُ وَھَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْخَاشِعَ اِلَّا الْمُتَكَبِّرُ

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ ارْحَمْنِيْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ وَارْضَ عَنِّيْ بِجُوْدِكَ وَكَرَمِكَ وَفَضْلِكَ يَا ذَا الْجُوْدِ وَالْاِحْسَانِ وَالطَّوْلِ وَالْاِمْتِنَانِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ۔ اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَليٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

 

 

 

Translation:

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Allah, I ask You for protection on the day when property will not avail, nor sons except he who comes with a heart free Allah I ask You for protection on the day when the unjust one will bite his hands saying would that I had taken a way with the messenger And I ask You for protection on the day when the guilty shall be recognized by their marks so they shall be seized by the forelocks and the feet And I ask You for protection on the day when a father shall not give any satisfaction for his son nor shall the child give any satisfaction for his father, Surely the promise of Allah is true And I ask You for protection on the day when the unjust shall not benefit from their excuse and for them is curse and for them is the evil abode And I ask You for protection on the day when no soul shall control anything for (another) soul and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's And I ask You for protection on the day when a man shall flee from his brother, and his mother, his father, his spouse, and his children, each one of them on that day will have a concern which will occupy him And I ask You for protection on the day when the guilty will wish to redeem himself from the chastisement of that day by (sacrificing) his children, and the near of kin who gave him shelter and all those that are in the earth (wising) that this might deliver him ... by no means! Surely it is a flaming fire, dragging by the head My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Master and I am the Slave, and who else can be merciful to the slave except the Master My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Owner and I am the one owned by You, and who else can be merciful to the owned except the owner? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Mighty and I am the low, and who else can be merciful to the low except the Mighty? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Creator and I am the creature, and who else can be merciful to the creature except the Creator? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Glorious and I am the miserable, and who else can be merciful to the miserable except the Glorious? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Powerful and I am the weak, and who else can be merciful to the weak except the Powerful? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Wealthy and I am the Poor, and who else can be merciful to the poor except the Wealthy? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Bestower and I am the beggar, and who else can be merciful to the beggar except the Bestower? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Living and I am the dead, and who else can be merciful to the dead except the Living? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Eternal and I am the transient, and who else can be merciful to the transient except the Eternal? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Permanent and I am the short-lived, and who else can be merciful to the short-lived except the Permanent? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Provider and I am the blessed, and who else can be merciful to the blessed except the Provider? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Generous and I am the miser, and who else can be merciful to the miser except the Generous? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Healer and I am the afflicted, and who else can be merciful to the afflicted except the Healer? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Great and I am the insignificant, and who else can be merciful to the insignificant except the Great? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Leading and I am the straying, and who else can be merciful to the straying except the Leading? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Merciful and I am the one shown mercy, and who else can be merciful to the one shown mercy except the Merciful? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Authority and I am the tried, and who else can be merciful to the tried except the Authority? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Guide and I am the confused, and who else can be merciful to the confused except the Guide? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Forgiver and I am the sinner, and who else can be merciful to the sinner except the Forgiver? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Victor and I am the defeated, and who else can be merciful to the defeated except the Victor? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Nourisher and I am the nourished, and who else can be merciful to the nourished except the Nourisher? My Lord, O my Lord, You are the High-handed and I am the humble, and who else can be merciful to humble the except the High-handed? My Lord, O my Lord, have mercy on me by Your mercy, and be pleased with me by Your Generosity and Your Magnanimity and Your Grace, the Generous, and Beneficent, O the Almighty and the Benefactor, By your Mercy, O the most Merciful of the Merciful. Allah, bless Muhammad (Saww) and his family (A.s)

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنِّيْٓ اَسْئَلُكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ الَّتِيْ وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْ ءٍ وَبِقُوَّتِكَ الَّتِيْ قَهَرْتَ بِھَا كُلَّ شَي ءٍ وَخَضَعَ لَهَا كُلُّ شَيْ ءٍ وَّذَلَّ لَھَا كُلُّ شَيْ ءٍ وَّ بِجَبَرُوْتِكَ الَّتِيْ غَلَبْتَ بِھَا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَّبِعِزَّتِكَ الَّتِيْ لَا يَقُوْمُ لَھَا شَيْءٌ وَّبِعَظَمَتِكَ الَّتِيْ مَلَأَ تْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَّ بِسُلْطَانِكَ الَّذِيْ عَلَا كُلَّ شَيْ ءٍ وَّبِوَجْھِكَ الْبَاقِيْ بَعْدَ فَنَآءِ كُلِّ شَيْ ءٍ وَّ بِاَسْمَائِكَ الَّتِيْ مَلأَتْ اَرْكَانَ كُلَّ شَيْ ءٍ وَّبِعِلْمِكَ الَّذِيَْ اَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَّبِنُوْرِ وَجْھِكَ الَّذِيْ اَضَآءَلَهٗ كُلُّ شَيْ ءٍ يَا نُوْرُ يَا قُدُّوْسُ يَا اَوَّلَ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ وَيَااٰخِرَ الْاٰخِرِيْنَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْلِيَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِيْ تَھْتِكُ الْعِصَمَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْلِيَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِيْ تُنْزِلُ النِّقَمَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْلِيَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِيْ تُغَيِّرُ النِّعَمَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْلِيَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِيْ تَحْبِسُ الدُّعَآءَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْلِيَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِيْ تَقْطَعُ الرَّجَآءَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْلِيَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِيْ تُنْزِلُ الْبَلَآءَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْلِيْ كُلَّ ذَنْبٍ اَذْنَبْتُهٗ وَكُلَّ خَطِٓيْئَةٍ اَخْطَاْتُهَا اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنِّيْٓ اَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَيْكَ بِذِكْرِكَ وَاَسْتَشْفِعُ بِكَ اِلٰي نَفْسِكَ نَفْسِكَ وَاَسئَلُكَ بِجُوْدِكَ (وَكَرَمِكَ) اَنْ تُدْنِيَنِيْ مِنْ قُرْبكَ وَاَنْ تُوْزِعَنِيْ شُكْرَكَ وَاَنَ تُلْھِمَنِيْ ذِكْرَكَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْئَلُكَ سُؤَالَ خَاضِعٍ مُتَذَلِّلٍ خَاشِعٍ مُّتَضَرِّعٍ اَنْ تُسَامِحَنِيْ وَتَرْحَمَنِيْ وَتَجْعَلَنِيْ بِقِسْمِكَ رَاضِيًا قَانِعًا وَّفِيْ جَمِيْعِ الْاَحْوَالِ مُتَوَاضِعًا اَللّٰھُمَّ وَاَسْئَلُكَ سُؤَالَ مَنِ اشْتَدَّتْ فَاقَتُهٗ وَاَنْزَلَ بِكَ عِنْدَ الشَّدَآئِدِ حَاجَتَهٗ وَعَظُمَ فِيْـمَا عِنْدَكَ رَغْبَتُهٗ اَللّٰھُمَّ عَظُمَ سُلْطَانُكَ وَعَلَا مَكَانُكَ وَخَفِيَ مَكْرُكَ وَظَھَرَ اَمْرُكَ وَغَلَبَ قَھْرُكَ وَجَرَتْ قُدْرَتُكَ وَلَا يُمْكِنُ الْفِرَارُمِنْ حُكُوْمَتِكَ اَللّٰھُمَّ لَآ اَجِدُلِذُ نُوْبِيْ غَافِرًا وَّلَا لِقَبَآئِحِيْ سَاتِرًا وَّلَا لِشَيْ ءٍ مِنْ عَمَلِيَ الْقَبِيْحِ بِالْحَسَنِ مُبَدِّ لًا غَيْرَكَ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّآ اَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ وَبِحَمْدِكَ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِيْ وَتَجَرَّأْتُ بِجَهْلِيْ وَ سَكَنْتُ اِليٰ قَدِيْمِ ذِكْرِكَ لِيْ وَمَنِّكَ عَلَيَّ اَللّٰھُمَّ مَوْلَايَ كَمْ مِّنْ قَبِيْحٍ سَتَرْتَهٗ وَكَمْ مِّنْ فَادِحٍ مِّنَ الْبَلَآءِ اَقَلْتَهٗ وَكَمْ مِّنْ عِثَارٍ وَّقَيْتَهٗ وَكَمْ مِّنْ مَّكْرُوْهٍ دَفَعْتَهٗ وَكَمْ مِّنْ ثَنَآءٍ جَمِيْلِ لَّسْتُ اَھْلًا لَّهٗ نَشَرْتَهٗ اَللّٰھُمَّ عَظُمَ بَلَآئِيْ وَاَفْرَطَ بِيْ سُوْٓ ءُ حَالِيْ وَقَصُرَتْ بِيْ اَعْمَالِيْ وَقَعَدَتْ بِيْ اَغْلَالِيْ وَحَبَسَنِيْ عَنْ نَّفْعِيْ بَعْدُ اٰمَالِيْ وَخَدْعَتْنِي الدُّنْيَا بِغُرُوْرِھَا وَنَفْسِيْ بِخِيَانَتِھَا وَمِطَالِيْ يَا سَيِّدِيْ وَاَسْئَلُكَ بِعِزَّ تِكَ اَنْ لَّا يَحْجُبَ عَنْكَ دُعَائِيْ سُوْٓ ءُ عَمَلِيْ وَفِعَالِيْ وَلَا تَفْضَحْنِيْ بِخَفِيِّ مَا اطَّلَعْتَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ سِرِّيْ وَلَا تُعَاجِلْنِيْ بِالْعُقُوْبَةِ عَليٰ مَا عَمِلْتُهٗ فِيْ خَلَواتِيْ مِنْ سُوْٓءءِ فِعْلِيْ وَاِسَآءَتِيْ وَدَوَامِ تَفْرِيْطِيْ وَجَهَالَتِيْ وَكَثْرَةِ شَهَوَاتِيْ وَغَفْلَتِيْ وَكُنِ اَللّٰهُمَّ بِعِزَّ تِكَ لِيْ فِيْ كُلِّ الْاَحْوَالِ رَءُوْفًا وَّعَلَيَّ فِيْ جَمِيْعِ الْاُ مُوْرِ عَطُوْفًا اِلٰھِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ وَرَبِّيْ مَنْ لِّيْ غَيْرُكَ اَسْئَلُهٗ كَشْفَ ضُرِّيْ وَالنَّظَرَفِيْ اَمْرِيْ اِلٰھِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ اَجْرَيْتَ عَلَيَّ حُكْمًا نِ اتَّبَعْتُ فِيْهِ ھَوَيٰ نَفْسِيْ وَلَمْ اَحْتَرِسْ فِيْهِ مِنْ تَزْيِيْنِ عَدُوِّيْ فَغَرَّنِيْ بِمَآ اَھْوٰي وَاَسْعَدَهٗ عَليٰ ذٰلِكَ الْقَضَآءُ فَتَجَاوَزْتُ بِمَا جَرٰي عَلَيَّ مِنْ ذٰلِكَ بَعْضَ حُدُوْدِكَ وَخَالَفْتُ بَعْضَ اَوَامِرِكَ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَيَّ فِيْ جَمِيْعِ ذٰلِكَ وَلَا حُجَّةَ لِيْ فِيْـمَا جَرٰي عَلَيَّ فِيْهِ قَضَآؤُكَ وَاَلْزَمَنِيْ حُكْمُكَ وَبَلَآئوُكَ وَقَدْ اٰتَيْتُكَ يَآاِلٰھِيْ بَعْدَ تَقْصِيْرِيْ وَ اِسْرَافِيْ عَليٰ نَفْسِيْ مُعْتَذِرًا نَّادِمًا مُّنْكَسِرًا مُّسْتَقِيْلاً مُّسْتَغْفِرًا مُّنِيْبًا مُّقِرًّا مُّذْعِنًا مُعْتَرِفًا لَّآ اَجِدُمَفَرًّا مِّمَّا كَانَ مِنِّيْ وَلَا مَفْزَعًا اَتَوَجَّهُ اِلَيْهِ فِيْ اَمْرِيْ غَيْرَ قَبُوْلِكَ عُذْرِيْ وَاِدْخَالِكَ اِيَّايَ فِيْ سَعَةٍ مِّنْ رَّحْمَتِكَاَللّٰھُمَّفَاقْبَلْعُذْرِيْ وَارْحَمْ شِدَّةَ ضُرِّيْ وَفُكَّنِيْ مِنْ شَدِّ وَثَاقِيْ يَا رَبِّ ارْحَمْ ضَعْفَ بَدَنِيْ وَرِقَّةَ جِلْدِيْ وَدِقَّةَ عَظْمِيْ يَا مَنْ بَدَأَخَلْقِيْ وَذِكْرِيْ وَتَرْبِيَتِيْ وَبِّرِيْ وَ تَغْذِيَتِيْ ھَبْنِيْ لِاِ بْتِدَآءِ كَرَمِكَ وَسَالِفِ بِّرِكَ بِيْ يَآ اِلٰھِيْ وَسَيِّدِيْ وَرَبِّيْاَتُرَاكَ مُعَذِّبِيْ بِنَارِكَ بَعْدَ تَوْحِيْدِكَ وَبَعْدَ مَا انْطَوٰي عَلَيْهِ قَلْبِيْ مِنْ مَّعْرِفَتِكَ وَلَھِجَ بِهٖ لِسَانِيْ مِنْ ذِكْرِكَ وَاعْتَقَدَهٗ ضَمِيْرِيْ مِنْ حُبِّكَ وَبَعْدَ صِدْقِ اعْتِرَافِيْ وَدُعَآئِيْ خَاضِعًا لِّرُبُوْبِيَّتِكَ ھَيْهَاتَ اَنْتَ اَكْرَمُ مِنْ اَنْ تُضَيِّعَ مَنْ رَّبَّيْتَهٗ اَوْتُبَعِّدَ مَنْ اَدْنَيْتَهٗ اَوْتُشَرِّدَ مَنْ اٰوَيَتَهٗ اَوْتُسَلِّمَ اِلَي الْبَلَآءِ مَنْ كَفَيْتَهٗ وَرَحِمَتَهٗ وَلَيْتَ شِعْرِيْ يَا سَيِّدِيْ وَ اِلٰھِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ اَتُسَلِّطُ النَّارَ عَليٰ وُجُوْهٍ خَرَّتْ لِعَظَمَتِكَ سَاجِدَةً وَّعَليٰٓ اَلْسُنٍ نَطَقَتْ بِتَوْحِيْدِكَ صَادِقَةً وَّبِشُكْرِكَ مَادِحَةً وَّعَليٰ قُلُوْبِ ن اعْتَرَفَتْ بِاِلِٰھِيَّتِكَ مُحَقِّقَةً وَّعَليٰ ضَمَآئِرَ حَوَتْ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ بِكَ حَتّٰي صَارَتْ خَاِشِعَةً وَّعَليٰ جَوَارِحَ سَعَتْ اِليٰٓ اَوْطَانِ تَعَبُّدِكَ طَآئِعَةً وَّاَشَاَرَتْ بِاِسْتِغْفَارِكَ مُذْعِنَةً مَّا ھٰكَذَاالظَّنُّ بِكَ وَلَآ اُخْبِرْنَا بِفَضْلِكَ عَنْكَ يَا كَرِيْمُ يَا رَبِّ وَاَنْتَ تَعْلَمُ ضَعْفِيْ عَنْ قَلِيْلٍ مِّنْ بَلَآءِ الدُّنْيَاوَعُقُوْبَاتِهَا وَمَايَجْرِيْ فِيْهَا مِنَ الْمَكَارِهِ عَليٰ اَھْلِهَا عَليٰٓ اَنَّ ذٰلِكَ بَلَآءٌ وَّمَكْرُوْهٌ قَلِيْلٌ مَّكْثُهٗ يَسِيْرٌ بَقَآؤُهٗ قَصِيْرٌ مُّدَّتُهٗ فَكَيْفَ احْتِمَالِيْ لِبَلَآءِالْاٰخِرَةِ وَجَلِيْلِ وُقُوْعِ الْمَكَارِهِ فِيْهَا وَھُوَ بَلَآءٌ تَطُوْلُ مُدَّتُهٗ وَ يَدُوْمُ مَقَامُهٗ وَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْ اَھْلِهٖ لِاَ نَّهٗ لَايَكُوْنُ اِلَّا عَنْ غَضَبِكَ وَاِنْتِقَامِكَ وَ سَخَطِكَ وَھٰذَامَالَا تَقُوْمُ لَهُ السَّمٰوٰتُ وَالْاَرْضُ يَا سَيِّدِيْ فَكَيْفَ لِيْ وَاَنَا عَبْدُكَ الضَّعِيْفُ الذَّلِيْلُ الْحَقِيْرُ الْمِسْكِيْنُ الْمُسْتَكِيْنُ يَآ اِلٰھِيْ وَرَبِّيْ وَسَيِّدِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ لِاَ يِّ الْاُمُوْرِ اِلَيْكَ اَشْكُوْاوَلِمَا مِنْهَا اَضِجُّ وَاَبْكِيْ لِاَ لِيْمِ الْعَذَابِ وَشِدَّتِهٖ اَمْ لِطُوْلِ الْبَلَآءِ وَ مُدَّتِهٖ فَلَئِنْ صَيَّرْتَنِيْ لِلْعُقُوْبَاتِ مَعْ اَعْدَآئِكَ وَ جَمَعْتَ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَ اَھْلِ بَلَآئِكَ وَفَرَّقْتَ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَ اَحِبَّآئِكَ وَاَوْلِيَائِكَ فَھَبْنِيْ يَآ اِلٰھِيْ وَسَيِّدِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ وَرَبِّيْ صَبَرْتُ عَليٰ عَذَابِكَ فَكَيْفَ اَصْبِرُ عَليٰ فِرَاقِكَ وَ ھَبْنِيْ صَبَرْتُ عَليٰ حَرِّنَارِكَ فَكَيْفَ اَصْبِرُ عَنِ النَّظَرِ اِليٰ كَرَامَتِكَ اَمْ كَيْفَ اَسْكُنُ فِي النَّارِ وَرَجَآئِيْ عَفْوُكَ فَبِعِزَّ تِكَ يَا سَيِّدِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ اُقْسِمُ صَادِقًا لَّئِنْ تَرَكْتَنِيْ نَاطِقًا لَّاَ ضِجَّنَّ اِلَيْكَ بَيْنَ اَھْلِھَا ضَجِيْجَ الْاٰ مِلِيْنَ وَ لَاصْرُخَنَّ اِلَيْكَ صُرَاخَ الْمُسْتَصْرِخِيْنَ وَلَاَ بْكِيَنَّ عَلَيْكَ بُكَآءَ الْفَاقِدِيْنَ وَ لَاُ نَادِيَنَّكَ اَيْنَ كُنْتَ يَا وَلِيَّ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ يَا غَايَةَ اٰمَالِ الْعَارِفِيْنَ يَا غِيَاثَ الْمُسْتَغِيْثِيْنَ يَا حَبِيْبَ قُلُوْبِ الصَّادِقِيْنَ وَيَا اِلٰهَ الْعَالَمِيْنَ اَفَتُرَاْكَ سُبْحَانَكَ يَآ اِلٰھِيْ وَبِحَمْدِكَ تَسْمَعُ فِيْھَا صَوْتَ عَبْدٍ مُسْلِمٍ سُجِنَ فِيْهَا بِمُخَالِفَتِهٖ وَذَاقَ طَعْمَ عَذَابِھَا بِمَعْصِيَتِهٖ وَ حُبِسَ بَيْنَ اَطْبَا قِهَا بِجُرْمِهٖ وَجَرِيْرَ تِهٖ وَھُوَ يَضِجُّ اِلَيْكَ ضَجِيْجَ مُؤَمِّلٍ لِّرَحْمَتِكَ وَ يُنَادِيْكَ بِلِسَانِ اَھْلِ تَوْحِيْدِكَ وَيَتَوَسَّلُ اِلَيْكَ بِرُ بُوْبِيَّتِكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ فَكَيْفَ يَبْقٰي فِي الْعَذَابِ وَھُوَ يَرْجُوْ مَاسَلَفَ مِنْ حِلْمِكَ وَرَاْفَتِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ اَمْ كَيْفَ تُؤْ لِمُهُ النَّارُ وَھُوَ يَاْ مُلُ فَضْلَكَ وَرَحْمَتَكَ اَمْ كَيْفَ يُحْرِقُهٗ لَھِيْبُھَا وَاَنْتَ تَسْمَعُ صَوْتَهٗ وَتَرٰي مَكَانَهٗ اَمْ كَيْفَ يَشْتَمِلُ عَلَيْهِ زَفِيْرُ ھَا واَنْتَ تَعْلَمُ ضَعْفَهٗ اَمْ كَيْفَ يَتَقَلْقَلُ بَيْنَ اَطْبَاقِهَا وَاَنْتَ تَعْلَمُ صِدْقَهٗ اَمْ كَيْفَ تَزْجُرُهٗ زَبَانِيَتُهَا وَھُويُنَا دِيْكَ يَا رَبَّهُ اَمْ كَيْفَ يَرْجُوْا فَضْلَكَ فِيْ عِتْقِهٖ مِنْھَا فَتَتْرُكُهٗ فِيْھَا ھَيْهَاتَ مَا ذٰلِكَ الظَّنُّ بِكَ وَلَا الْمَعْرُوْفُ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَلَا مُشْبِهٌ لِّمَا عَامَلْتَ بِهٖ الْمُوَحِّدِيْنَ مِنْ بِرِّكَ وَ اِحْسَانِكَ فَبِا لْيَقِيْنِ اَقْطَعُ لَوْلَا مَا حَكَمْتَ بِهٖ مِنْ تَعْذِيْبِ جَاحِدِيْكَ وَقَضَيْتَ بِهٖ مِنْ اِخْلَادِ مُعَا نِدِيْكَ لَجَعَلْتَ النَّارَ كُلَّھَا بَرْدًا وَّسَلَامًا وَّ مَاكَانَتْ لِاَ حَدٍفِيْھَا مَقَرًّا وَّ لَامُقَامًا لٰكِنَّكَ تَقَدَّسَتْ اَسْمَآئوُكَ اَقْسَمْتَ اَنْ تَمْلَأَ ھَا مِنَ الْكَافِرِيْنَ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَ النَّاسِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ وَاَنْ تُخَلِّدَ فِيْهَا الْمُعَانِدِيْنَ وَاَنْتَ جَلَّ ثَنَآؤُكَ قُلْتَ مُبْتَدِئًا وَّتَطَوَّلْتَ بِالْاِنْعَامِ مُتَكَرِّمًا اَفَمَنْ كَانَ مُؤْمِنًا كَمَنْ كَانَ فَاسِقًا لَّا يَسْتَوُوْنَ اِلٰھِيْ وَسَيِّدِيْ فَاَسْئَلُكَ بِالْقُدْرَةِ الَّتِيْ قَدَّرْتَھَا وَبِالْقَضِيَّةِ الَّتِيْ حَتَمْتَھَا وَحَكَمْتَھَا وَغَلَبْتَ مَنْ عَلَيْهِ اَجْرَيْتَھَا اَنْ تَھَبَ لِيْ فِيْ ھٰذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ وَفِيْ ھٰذِهِ السَّاعَةِ كُلَّ جُرْمٍ اَجْرَمْتُهٗ وَكُلَّ ذَنْبٍ اَذْنَبْتُهٗ وَكُلَّ قَبِيْحٍ اَسْرَرْتُهٗ وَكُلَّ جَھْلٍ عَمِلْتُهٗ كَتَمْتُهٗ اَوْاَعْلَنْتُهٗ اَخْفَيْتُهٗ اَوْ اَظْھَرْتُهٗ وَكُلَّ سَيِّئَةٍ اَمَرْتَ بِاِثْبَاتِهَا الْكِرَامَ الْكَاتِبِيْنَ الَّذِيْنَ وَكَّلْتَھُمْ بِحِفْظِ مَا يَكُوْنُ مِنِّيْ وَجَعَلْتَهُمْ شُهُوْدًا عَلَيَّ مَعْ جَوَارِحِيْ وَكُنْتَ اَنْتَ الرَّقِيْبَ عَلَيَّ مِنْ وَّرَائِھِمْ وَ الشَّاھِدَ لِمَا خَفِيَ عَنْھُمْ وَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ اَخْفَيْتَهٗ وَبِفَضْلِكَ سَتَرْتَهٗ وَاَنْ تُوَفِّرَحَظِّيْ مِنْ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ اَنْزَلْتَهٗ اَوْاِحْسَانٍ فَضَّلْتَهٗ اَوْبِرٍّنَشَرْتَهٗ اَوْرِزْقٍ بَسَطْتَّهٗ اَوْذَنْبٍ تَغْفِرُهٗ اَوْ خَطَآءٍ تَسْتُرُهٗ يَارَبِّ يَارَبِّ يَا رَبِّ يَآ اِلٰھِيْ وَسَيِّدِيْ وَ مَوْلَايَ وَمَالِكَ رِقِّيْ يَا مَنْ بِيَدِهٖ نَاصِيَتِيْ يَا عَلِيْـمًا بِضُرِّيْ وَمَسْكَنَتِيْ يَا خَبِيْرًا بِفَقْرِيْ وَفَاقَتِيْ يَارَبِّ يَارَبِّ يَا رَبِّ اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّكَ وَقُدْسِكَ وَاَعْظَمِ صِفَاتِكَ وَاَسْمَآئِكَ اَنْ تَجْعَلَ اَوْقَاتِيْ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ بِذِكْرِكَ مَعْمُوْرَةً وَّبِخِدْمَتِكَ مَوْصُوْلَةً وَّاَعْمَالِيْ عِنْدَكَ مَقْبُوْلَةً حَتّٰي تَكُوْنَ اَعْمَالِيْ وَاَوْرَادِيْ كّلُّھَا وِرْدًا وَّاحِدًا وَّحَالِيْ فِيْ خِدْمَتِكَ سَرْمَدًا يَا سَيِّدِيْ يَا مَنْ عَلَيْهِ مُعَوَّ لِيْ يَا مَنْ اِلَيْهِ شَكَوْتُ اَحْوَالِيْ يَارَبِّ يَارَبِّ يَا رَبِّ قَوِّعَليٰ خِدْمَتِكَ جَوارِحِيْ وَاشْدُدْعَلَي الْعَزِيْمَةِ جَوَانِحِيْ وَھَبْ لِيَ الْجِدَّ فِيْ خَشْيَتِكَ وَ الدَّوَاَمَ فِي الْاِ تِّصَالِ بِخِدْمَتِكَ حَتّٰٓي اَسْرَحَ اِلَيْكَ فِيْ مَيَادِيْنِ السَّابِقِيْنَ وَاُسْرِعَ اَلِيْكَ فِي الْبَارِزِيْنَ وَاَشْتَاقَ اِلٰي قُرْبِكَ فِي الْمُشْتَاقِيْنَ وَاَدْنُوَمِنْكَ دُنُوَّ الْمُخْلِصِيْنَ وَ اَخَافَكَ مَخَافَةَ الْمُوْقِنِيْنَ وَاَجْتَمِعَ فِيْ جَوَارِكَ مَعَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ اَللّٰھُمَّ وَ مَنْ اَرَادَنِيْ بِسُوْ ءٍ فَاَرِدْهُ وَمَنْ كَادَنِيْ فَكِدْهُ وَاجْعَلْنِيْ مِنْ اَحْسَنِ عَبِيْدِكَ نَصِيْبًا عِنْدَكَ وَ اَقْرَبِهِمْ مَّنْزِلَةً مِّنْكَ وَاَخَصِّهِمْ زُلْفَةً لَّدَيْكَ فَاِنَّهٗ لَا يُنَالُ ذٰلِكَ اِلَّا بِفَضْلِكَ وَجُدْلِيْ بِجُوْدِكَ وَ اعْطِفْ عَلَيَّ بِمَجْدِكَ وَاحْفَظْنِيْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ وَاجْعَلْ لِّسَانِيْ بِذِكِرْكَ لَھِجًا وَّقَلْبِيْ بِحُبِّكَ مُتَيَّـمًا وَّ مُنَّ عَلَيَّ بِحُسْنِ اِجَابَتِكَ وَاَقِلْنِيْ عَثْرَتِيْ وَاغْفِرْلِيْ زَلَّتِيْ فَاِنَّكَ قَضَيْتَ عَليٰ عِبَادِكَ بِعِبَادَتِكَ وَاَمَرْتَهُمْ بِدُعَآئِكَ وَضَمِنْتَ لَهُمْ الْاِ جَابَةَ فَاِلَيْكَ يَا رَبِّ نَصَبْتُ وَجْھِيْ وَاَلِيْكَ يَا رَبِّ مَدَدْتُ يَدِيْ فَبِعِزَّ تِكَ اسْتَجِبْ لِيْ دُعَآئِيْ وَ بَلِّغْنِيْ مُنَايَ وَلَا تَقْطَعْ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ رَجَآئِيْ وَاكْفِنِيْ شَرَّالْجِنِّ وَالْانْسِ مِنْ اَعْدَآئِيْ يَا سَرِيْعَ الِرّضَا اِغْفِرْ لِمَنْ لَّا يَمْلِكُ اِلَّا الدُّعَآءَ فَاِنَّكَ فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا تَشَآءُ يَا مَنِ اسْمُهٗ دَوَآءٌ وَّذِكْرُهٗ شِفَآءٌ وَّطَاعَتُهٗ غِنيً اِرْحَمْ مَّنْ رَّاْسُ مَالِهِ الرَّجَآءُ وَسِلَاحُهُ الْبُكَآءُ يَا سَابِغَ النِّعَمِ يَا دَافِعَ النِّقَمِ يَا نُوْرَ الْمُسْتَوْحِشِيْنَ فِي الظُّلَمِ يَا عَالِمًا لَّا يُعَلَّمُ صَلِّ عَليٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّافْعَلْ بِيْ مَا اَنْتَ اَھْلُهٗ وَصَلَّي اللّٰهُ عَليٰ رَسُوْلِهٖ وَالْاَئِمَّةِ الْمَيَامِيْنِ مِنْ اٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّمَ تَسْلِيْـمًا كَثْيًرا ط

Transliteration:

BIS-MIL-LAAHIR-RAH'-MAANIR-RAH'EEMI Alla-Hooma Inni As'aloka Be-Rahmatekallati Vase'at Koolla Shai'in Wa Be-Qoo-vatekallati Qaharat Beha Koalla Shai'in Wa Khaza'a Laha Koalla Shai'in Wa Zalla Laha Kaalla Shai'in Wa Be-Jabaroatekal-lati Ghalabta Beha Koolla Shai'in Wa Be-'lzzatekal-Lati La Yaqaomo Laha Shai'oon Wa Be-'Azmatekal-Lati Mala.ta Koolla Shai' in Wa Be-Sooltanekal-lazi 'Ala Kaolla Shai'in Wa Be-Vaj-hekal-Baqi Ba'da Fanaa'e Koala Shai'in Wa Be-Asmaa'ekal-Iati Mala-at Arkana Kaalla Shai'in Be-Ilmekal-lazi Ahata Be-Kaolle Shai'in Wo Be-Noore Vaj-hekal-Iazi Azaa'alahoo Kaalla Shai'in Ya Nooro Ya Qooddoaso Ya Av-valal-Av-valeena Ya Akhiral-Akhereena, Alla-Hoommaghfirle-yaz-zon-oobal-lati Tah-tekal-'Asam, Alla Humma-igh-fir liyadh-dhunubal-lati tunzilun-niqam Alla-Hoommaghfir-Leyaz-zonoobal-Iati Taghyyerool-Ne'ama. In the Name of Allah, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate: O Allah, I ask You by Your mercy, which embraces all things; And by Your strength, through which You dominate all things, And toward which all things are humble And before which all things are ordinary; And by Your invincibility through which You overwhelms all things, And by Your might, which nothing can resist; And by Your tremendousness, which has filled all things; by Your force, which towers over all things; And by Your face, which subsists after the annihilation of all things, And by Your Names, which have filled the foundations of all things; And by Your knowledge, which encompasses all things; And by the light of Your face, through which all things are illuminated! O Light! O All-holy! O First of those who are first And O Last of those who are last! O Allah, forgive me for those of my sins which tear apart safeguards! O Allah, forgive me for those sins which draw down adversities! O Allah, forgive me for those sins which alter blessings! O Allah forgive me for those sins which hold back supplication! O Allah forgive me for those sins which cut down the hopes! O Allah, forgive me for those sins which draw down tribulation! O Allah, forgive me for every sin I have committed and for every mistake I have made! O Allah, verily I seek nearness to You through remembrance of You, And I seek intercession from You with Yourself, And I ask You through Your munificence to bring me near to Your proximity, And to provide me with gratitude towards You And to inspire me with Your remembrance.O Allah, verily I ask You with the asking of a submissive, abased and lowly man to show me forbearance, to have mercy on meAnd to make me satisfied and content with Your appointment and [make me] humble in every state. O Allah, I ask You the question of one whose indigence is extreme, And who has stated to You in difficulties his need And whose desire for what is with You has become great. O Allah, Your force is tremendous, Your place is lofty, And Your deception is hidden, Your command is manifest, And Your domination is overwhelming, Your power is unhindered And escape from Your governance is impossible. O Allah, I find no forgiver of my sins, Nor concealer of my ugly acts Nor transformer of any of my ugly acts into good acts but You There is no god but You! Glory be to You, and Thine is the praise! I have wronged myself, And I have been audacious in my ignorance And I have depended upon Your ancient remembrance of me and Your favour toward me. O Allah! O my Protector! How many ugly things You have concealed! How many burdensome tribulations You hast abolished! And how many stumbles You hast prevented! And how many ordeals You hast repelled! And how much beautiful praise, for which I was unworthy, You hast spread abroad! O Allah, my tribulation is tremendous, And my bad state is excessive, And my acts are inadequate, And my fetters have tied me down, And my far-fetched hopes have held me back from my gain And this world with its delusions, my own soul with its offences and my delay have deceived me. O my Master! So I ask You by Your might not to let my evil veil my supplication from You, And not to disgrace me through the hidden things You knowest of my secrets And not to hasten me to punishment for what I have done in private: My evil acts in secrecy and my misdeeds And my continuous negligence and my ignorance And my manifold passions and my forgetfulness. And by Your might, O Allah, be kind to me in all states And be gracious to me in all affairs! My God and my Lord! Have I any but You from whom to ask removal of my affliction and regard for my affairs! My God and my Protector! You put into effect through me a decree in which I followed the caprice of my own soul And [I] did not remain wary of adorning my enemy. So he deluded me through my soul's caprice and therein destiny favoured him So, in what was put into effect through me in that situation, I transgressed some of Your statutes And disobeyed some of Your commands. So Thine is the argument against me in all of that I have no argument in what Your destiny put into effect through me therein nor in what Your decree and Your tribulation imposed upon me. Now I have come to You, My God, with my shortcoming and my immoderation toward myself, Proffering my excuse, regretful, Broken, apologizing, Asking forgiveness, repenting, Acknowledging, submissive, confessing. I find no place to flee from what has occurred through me, Nor any place of escape to which I may turn in my affairs, Other than Your acceptance of my excuse and Your entering me into the compass of Your mercy. O Allah, so accept my excuse, Have mercy upon the severity of my affliction And release me from the tightness of my fetters, My Lord, have mercy upon the weakness of my body, the thinness of my skin and the frailty of my bones. O You who gave rise to my creation, to the remembrance of me, to the nurture of me, to goodness toward me and to nourishment on me, Bestow upon me for the sake of Your having given rise [to me] with generosity and Your previous goodness to me! O Allah, my Master and my Lord! Canst You see Yourself tormenting me with Your fire after I have professed Your Unity And after the knowledge of You my heart has embraced, And the remembrance of You my tongue has constantly mentioned And the love of You to which my mind has clung, And after the sincerity of my confession and my supplication, humble before Your lordship? Far be it from You! You art more generous than that You should squander him whom You hast nurtured, Or banish him whom You hast brought nigh, Or drive away him whom You hast given an abode Or submit to tribulation him whom You hast spared and shown mercy. Would that I knew, my Master, My God and my Protector, Whether You wilt give the Fire dominion over faces fallen down prostrate before Your Tremendousness, And over tongues voicing sincerely the profession of Your Unity and giving thanks to You in praise, And over hearts acknowledging Your Divinity through verification, And over minds encompassing knowledge of You until they have become humble And over bodily members speeding to the places of Your worship in obedience and beckoning for Your forgiveness in submission. No such opinion is held of You! Nor has such been reported - thanks to Your bounty — concerning You, O All-generous! My Lord, And You knowest my weakness before a little of this world's tribulations and punishments, And before those ordeals which befall its inhabitants, Even though it is a tribulation and ordeal whose stay is short, whose subsistence is but little and, whose period is but fleeting.So how can I endure the tribulations of the next world and the great ordeals that occur within it? For it is a tribulation whose period is long, whose station endures and whose sufferers are given no respite, Since it only occurs as a result of Your wrath, Your vengeance and Your anger, And these cannot be withstood by the heavens and the earth. O Master, so what about me?! For I am Your weak, lowly, base, wretched and miserable slave. My God! My Lord! My Master! My Protector! For which things would I complain to You? And for which of them would I lament and weep? For the pain and severity of chastisement? Or for the length and period of tribulation? So if You takest me to the punishments with Your enemies, And gatherest me with the people of Your tribulation And separatest me from Your friends and saints, Then suppose, My God, my Master, my Protector and my Lord that I am able to endure Your chastisement, How can I endure separation from You? And suppose that I am able to endure the heat of Your fire, How can I endure not gazing upon Your generosity? Or how can I dwell in the Fire while my hope is Your pardon? So by Your might, my Master and my protector, I swear sincerely, if You leavest me with speech, I will lament to You from the midst of the Fire's inhabitants with lamentation of the hopeful; I will cry to You with the cry of those crying for help; I will weep to You with the weeping of the bereft; And I will call to You, Where art You, O Sponsor of the believers, O Goal of the hopes of Your knowers, O Aid of those who seek assistance, O Friend of the hearts of the sincere And O God of all the world's inhabitants! Canst You see Yourself — Glory be to You My God, and Thine is the praised — hearing within the Fire the voice of a slave surrendered to You, Imprisoned there because of his violations, Tasting the favour of its torment because of his disobedience, And confined within its levels because of his sin and crime, While he laments to You with the lament of one hopeful for Your mercy, And calls to You with the tongue of those who profess Your Unity And entreats You by Your lordship! My Protector, so how should he remain in the chastisement, while he has hope for Your previous clemency? Or how should the Fire cause him pain while he expects Your bounty and mercy? Or how should its flames burn him, while You hears his voice and sees his place? Or how should its groaning encompass him, while You knows his weakness? Or how should he be convulsed among its levels, while You knows his sincerity? Or how should its keepers torture him while he calls out to You, O Lord? Or how should he have hope of Your bounty in freeing him from it, while You abandons him within it? Far be it from You! That is not what is expected of You, Nor what is well-known of Your bounty, Nor it is similar to the goodness and kindness You hast shown to those who profess Your Unity. So I declare with certainty that were it not for what You hast decreed concerning the chastisement of Your deniers And what You hast foreordained concerning the everlasting home of those who stubbornly resist, You wouldst make the Fire, all of it, coolness and safety, And no one would have a place of rest or abode within it. But You—holy are Your Names—hast sworn that You wilt fill it with the unbelievers, Both Jinn and men together, And that You wilt place those who stubbornly resist therein forever. And You— majestic is Your eulogy— said at the beginning and went gracious through kindness as a favor, (What? Is he who has been believer like unto him who has been ungodly? They are not equal) My God and my Master! So I ask You by the power You hast apportioned And by the decision which You hast determined and imposed and through which You hast overcome him toward whom it has been put into effect, That You forgivest me in this night and at this hour Every offence I have committed, And every sin I have performed, And every folly I have enacted Whether I have hidden or announced it, Or I have concealed it or manifested it And every evil act which You hast commanded the Noble Writers to record, Those whom You hast appointed to watch over what appears from me And whom You hast made, along with my bodily members, witness against me. And You wast Yourself the Watcher over me from behind them, And the Witness of what is hidden from them But through Your mercy You concealed it And through Your bounty You veiled it. [And I ask You] that You bestowest upon me an abundant share of every good You sendest down, Or kindness You confreres, Or goodness You unfolds, Or provision You spreads out, Or sin You forgives, Or error You covers. My Lord! My Lord! My Lord! My God! My Master! My Protector! Owner of my bondage! O He in whose hand is my forelock! O He who knows my affliction and my misery! O He who is aware of my poverty and indigence! My Lord! My Lord! My Lord! I ask You by Your Truth and Your Holiness And the greatest of Your Attributes and Names, That You makest my times in the night and the day inhabited by Your remembrance, And joined to Your service And my works acceptable to You, So that my works and my litanies may all be a single litany And my occupation with Your service everlasting. My Master! O He upon whom I depend! O He to whom I complain about my states! My Lord! My Lord! My Lord! Strengthen my bodily members in Your service, And fortify my ribs in determination And bestow upon me earnestness in my fear of You And continuity in my being joined to Your service So that I may move easily toward You in the battlefields of the foremost And hurry to You among the prominent And desire fervently Your proximity among the fervently desirous And move nearer to You with the nearness of the sincere And fear You with the fear of those who have certitude And gather with the believers in Your vicinity. O Allah, whoever desires evil for me, desire [it] for him! whoever deceives me-deceive him! And make me one of the most excellent of Your slaves in Portion from You, And the nearest of them in station to You And the most elected of them in proximity to You. For that cannot be attained except by Your bounty. And grant generously to me through Your munificence, And incline toward me with Your splendor And protect me with Your mercy! And make my tongue remember You without ceasing And my heart enthralled by Your love! And be gracious to me by answering me favorably, And nullify my slips And forgive my lapses! For You hast decreed Your worship for Your servants And commanded them to supplicate You And assured them that they would be answered. So toward You, my Lord, I have turned my face And toward You, my Lord, I have extended my hand. So by Your might, comply with my supplication And make me attain my desires! Do not severe my hoping for Your Favors And spare me the evil of my enemies from among the jinn and men! O He, whose pleasure is quickly achieved! Forgive him who owns nothing but supplication For You dost what You wilt. O He whose Name is a remedy, And whose remembrance is a cure, And whose obedience is wealth! Have mercy upon him whose capital is hope And whose weapon is tears! O Ample in blessings! O Repeller of adversities! O Light of those who are lonely in the darkness! O Knower who was never taught! Explanation / Details::

According to Allama Majlesi, Kumayl ibn Ziyad, a confidante of Ali ibn Abi Talib had attended an assembly in the Mosque at Basra which was addressed by Imam Ali in the course of which the night of the 15th of Sha'aban (a month) was mentioned. Ali said "Whosoever keeps awake in devoutness on this night and recites the Du'a of Prophet Khidhr, undoubtedly that person's supplication will be responded to and granted." When the assembly at the Mosque had dispersed, Kumayl called at the house where Ali was staying, and requested him to acquaint him with Prophet Khidhr's supplication. Ali asked Kumayl to sit down, record and memorise the du'a which he dictated to Kumayl. Ali then advised Kumayl ibn Ziyad to recite this du'a on the eve of (i.e. evening preceding) every Friday, or once a month or at least once in every year so that, added Ali, "Allah may protect thee from the evils of the enemies and the plots contrived by impostors. O' Kumayl! in consideration of thy companionship and understanding, I grant thee this honour of entrusting this du'a to thee."

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ نَادِ عَلِيًّا مَّظْھَرَ الْعَجَآئِبِ تَجِدْهُ عَوْنًا لَّكَ فِيْ النَّوَآئِبِ كُلُّ ھَمٍّ وَّ غَمٍّ اِليَ اللّٰهِ حَاجَتِيْ وَ عَلَيْهِ مُعَوَّلِيْ كُلَّمَا رَمَيْتُ مُتَقَاضِيًا فِي اللّٰهِ وَيَدُ اللّٰهِ لِيْ وَلِيُّ اللّٰهِ لِيْٓ اَدْعُوْكَ كُلُّ ھَمٍّ وَّغَمٍّ سَيَنْجَلِيْ بِعَظَمَتِكَ يَآ اَللّٰهُ وَبِنُبُوَّتِكَ يَا مُحَمَّدُؐ صَلَّي اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّمَ وَبِوَلَا يَتِكَ يَا عَلِيُّ يَا عَلِيُّ اَدْرِكْنِيْ بِحَقِّ لُطْفِكَ الْخَفِيِّ اَللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ اللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ اَنَا مِنْ شَرِّ اَعْدَآئِكَ بَرٓيْ ٌٔ بَرِٓئٌ اَللّٰهُ صَمَدِيْ بِحَقِّ اِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَاِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِيْنُ يَآ اَبَا الْغَيْثِ اَغِثْنِيْ يَا عَلِيُّ اَدْرِكْنِيْ يَا قَاھِرَ الْعَدُ وِّوَيَا وَالِيَ يَا الْوَلِيِّ يَا مَظْھَرَ الْعَجَائِبِ يَا مُرْتَضٰي عَلِيُّ يَا قَھَّارُ تَقَھَّرْتَ بِالْقَھْرِ وَالْقَھْرُ فِيْ قَھْرِ قَھْرِكَ يَا قَهَّارُ يَاذَاالْبَطْشِ الشَّدِيْدِ اَنْتَ الْقَاھِرُ الْجَبَّارُ الْمُھْلِكُ الْمُنْتَقِمُ الْقَوِيُّ الَّذِيْ لَا يُطَاقُ انْتِقَامُهٗ وَاُفَوِّضُ اَمْرِيْ اِلَي اللّٰهِ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ بَصِيْرٌم بِالْعِبَادِ وَاِلٰھُكُمْ اِلٰهٌ وَّاحِدٌ ج لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا ھُوَ الرَّحْمٰنُ الرَّحِيْمُ ط حَسْبِيَ اللّٰهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ ط نِعْمَ الْمَوْلٰي وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيْرُ ط يَاغِيَاثَ الْمُسْتَغِيْثِيْنَ اَغِثْنِيْ يَآرَاحِمَالْمَسَاكِيْنَ اِرْحَمْنِيْ يَاعَلِيُّ اَدْرِكْنِيْ يَاعَلِيُّ اَدْرِكْنِيْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ وَمَنِّكَ وَجُوْدِكَ يَآ اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ ۔

Transliteration:

Nade ali-yan mazharal ajaa’ib, tajid-ho avnal-laka fin navaa’ib koollo hammin wa ghammin ilal-lahe hajati wa alai-he mo’ av-vali kool-le-ma ra-maito mota-qazi fil-lahe ya-dool-lahe vali-yool-lahe lee ad’ooka koolle ham’min wa gham’min sa-yan-jali be azmateka ya allah-ho be naboo-vateka ya mohammad sal-lal-laho alai-he wa aalehi wa’sallam be vila-ya-teka ya ali-yo, ya-ali-yo, ya ali-yo adrikni Be haqqe lootfekal-kha’fiay allah’ho akbar, allah ‘ho akbar allah’ho akbar ana min sharre a’daa’eka bariyoon , allaho samadi wa aley-ka motamadi be haqqe iyyaka na’bodo wa iyyaka nasta’een Ya abal ghaise aghasini ya ali yo adrikni ya qaheral aduv-vey ya waliyal waliye ya mazahral ajaa’ebe ya murtaza aliyo ya qah-haro ta-qah-harta bil qahro val qahro fee qahre qah-reka ya qah-haro ya zal batsish shadeedey antal kaherul jabbrul mohlekul munta’qeymul qvee-ul lazi la yutaaqoo inteq’amohu Wa uf-faw-we-zoo amri illalahe inal-laha baseerum bil ibade wa illahokum illahu’wn wahe’dun la-ilaha illa ho-wer rahmanur rahemo has-be-yal-laa- ho wa- naimal-wakeelo naimal maula wa naimal naseero ya-ghe-ya-sal moos-tageeseena aghis’ni ya arhamal-masakeena irhamani ya ali-yo adrikni, ya ali-yo adrikniu be rehmateka wa man-neka wa joodeka ya arhamar rahemeen alla-homma so’alle ala mohammadin wa aale mohammad.

Translation:

Call Ali, who is Manifestor of wonders, Thou shall surely find him helper in your difficulties, all grief and sorrow shall be removed. I submit my temporal wishes to Thee on whom I trust and always referred Thee to bestow fulfillment of temporal wishes. O! Having Thee bestowed support, O! Thee Appointed Wali, All grief and Sorrows will disappear, By Thee by Thy tremendousness O! Lord, By Thee by Thy Apostleship O! Muhammad, - Blessings of Thee on Thy Apostle & descendants, By Thee by Thy granted Power & Authority of Wail, O! Ali, O Ali, O! Ali Help! O! Ali for Thee granted eternal hidden grants to you, Help! Allah the Almighty is Supreme, Allah the Almighty is supreme, Allah the Almighty is supreme, I am relieved from the enmity of (your) enemies. Thee is Eternal, Absolute; I have trust in Thee, By that truth, Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech help. O! Helper of the Seekers of help!, O! Ali help!, O! Mighty all winner over enemies, O! Eternal Leaders of the Leaders, O! Manifestor of Wonders, O! The Chosen one, O! Mighty and Powerful, O! Mighty, Valiant, Chivalrous Able oppressor of antagonists Might & Valour is yours, O! Powerful combater, You are mighty and Irresistible, Such a Powerful & Strong avenger that none is capable to resist nor keeps power to revenge I submit my temporal wishes to Thee, The supreme, No doubt Thy is All Knowing O! People, There is no God except ALLAH The Supreme, The Merciful, The Beneficent O! Allah, Thy is sufficient, The best Governor, The best Master, The best Helper. O! Helper of seekers of help and bereft, O! The Merciful helper of poor, Come for Help! O! Ali Help! O! Ali Help! , O! Thee by Thy Mercy, by Thy Favour, by Thy Goodness of rewarding, (Help) O! Thee The Merciful and The Most Gracious.


Surah Waqiah

Description:

There are tremendous virtues and benefits of reading this surah. Surah Waqiya is known as the surah of wealth. The life we are living today is full of tension, stress, and worry. As our last Prophet Muhammad PBUH Said, "The one who reads/recites Surah Waqiah every night, poverty will not befall him." In another hadith our last Prophet Muhammad PBUH Said, "Surah Waqiah is the Surah of Wealth, so recite it and teach it to your children." So, from the above hadith, it is cleared that Surah Waqiah is a blessing for the entire Muslim Ummah as it protects against poverty. It does not take more than five minutes to read this surah. Practice reciting Surah al Waqiah every night and follow the commandments of Almighty Allah and his beloved Prophet PBUH in every aspect of life because this is the way of ultimate success in this world and hereafter.

اَعُوْذُ بِاللّٰهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْـمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

 

اِذَاوَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ (۱) لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِـھَا لَيْسَ كَاذِبَةٌ (۲) خَافِضَةٌ رَّافِعَةٌ (۳) اِذَارُجَّتِ الْاَرْضُ رَجًّا (۴) وَّبُسَّتِ الْجِبَالُ بَسًّا (۵) فَكَانَتْ ھَبَآءً مُّنْبَثًّا  (۶) وَّكُنْتُمْ اَزْوَاجًا ثَلٰثَةً (۷) فَاَصْـحٰبُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ مَآ اَصْـحٰبُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ (۸) وَاَصْـحٰبُ الْمَشْئَمَةِ مَآ اَصْـحٰبُ الْمَشْئَمَةِ (۹) وَالسّٰبِقُوْنَ السّٰبِقُوْنَ (۱۰) اُولٰٓئِكَ الْمُقَرَّبُوْنَ (۱۱) فِيْ جَنّٰتِ النَّعِيْمِ (۱۲) ثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ (۱۳) وَقَلِيْلٌ مِّنْ الْاٰخِرِيْنَ (۱۴) عَلٰسُرُرٍ مَّوْضُوْنَةٍ (۱۵) مُّتَّكِئِيْنَ عَلَيْـھَا مُتَقٰبِلِيْنَ (۱۶) يَطُوْفُ عَلَيْـھِمْ وِلْدَانٌ مُّـخَلَّدُوْنَ (۱۷) بِاَكْوَابٍ وَّاَبَارِيْقَ وَكَاْسٍ مِّنْ مَّعِيْنٍ (۱۸) لَّايُصَدَّعُوْنَ عَنْـھَا وَلَايُنْزِفُوْنَ (۱۹) وَفَاكِھَةٍ مِّـمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُوْنَ (۲۰) وَلَـحْمِ طَيْرٍ مِّـمَّا يَشْتَـھُوْنَ (۲۱) وَحُوْرٌعِيْنٌ (۲۲) كَاَمْثَالِ اللُّؤْلُؤِالْمَكْنُوْنِ (۲۳) جَزَآءً بِـمَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ (۲۴) لَا يَسْمَعُوْنَ فِيْـھَا لَغْوًاوَّلَا تَاْثِيْـمًا (۲۵) اِلَّا قِيْلاً سَلٰمًا سَلٰمًا (۲۶) وَاَصْـحٰبُ الْيَمِيْنِ مَآ اَصْحٰبُ الْيَمِيْنِ (۲۷) فِيْ سِدْرٍ مَّـخْضُوْدٍ (۲۸) وَّطَلْحٍ مَّنْضُوْدٍ (۲۹) وَّظِلٍّ مَّـمْدُوْدٍ (۳۰) وَّمَآءٍمَّسْكُوْبٍ (۳۱) وَّفَاكِھَةٍكَثِيْرَةٍ (۳۲) لَّامَقْطُوْعَةٍ وَّلَامَمْنُوْعَةٍ (۳۳) وَّفُرُشٍ مَّرْفُوْعَةٍ (۳۴) اِنَّآ اَنْشَاْ نٰـھُنَّ اِنْشَآءً (۳۵) فَـجَعَلْنٰـھُنَّ اَبْكَارًا (۳۶) عُرُبًا اَتْرَابًا (۳۷) لِّاَصْـحٰبِ الْيَمِيْنِ (۳۸) وَثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ (۳۹) وَثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ الْاٰخِرِيْنَ (۴۰) وَاَصْـحٰبُ الشِّمَالِ مَآ اَصْـحٰبُ الشِّمَالِ (۴۱) فِيْ سَـمُوْمٍ وَّحَـمِيْمٍ (۴۲) وَّظِلٍّ مِّنْ يَّـحْمُوْمٍ (۴۳) لَّابَارِدٍ وَّلَاكَرِيْمٍ (۴۴) اِنَّـھُمْ كَانُوْا قَبْلَ ذٰلِكَ مُتْرَفِيْنَ (۴۵) وَ كَانُوْايُصِرُّوْنَ عَلَي الْـحِنْثِ الْعَظِيْمِ (۴۶) وَكَانُوْا يَقُوْلُوْنَ اَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَّعِظَامًا ءَ اِنَّا لَمَبْعُوْثُوْنَ (۴۷) اَوَاٰبَآؤُنَا الْاَوَّلُوْنَ (۴۸) قُلْ اِنَّ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ وَالْاٰخِرِيْنَ (۴۹) لَمَجْمُوْعُوْنَ الِٰي مِيْقَاتِ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُوْمٍ (۵۰) ثُمَّ اِنَّكُمْ اَيُّـھَا الضَّآلُّوْنَ الْمُكَذِّبُوْنَ (۵۱) لَاٰ كِلُوْنَ مِنْ شَـجَرٍ مِّنْ زَقُّوْمٍ (۵۲) فَمَالؤُنَ مِنْـھَا الْبُطُوْنَ (۵۳) فَشٰرِبُوْنَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْـحَمِيْمِ (۵۴) فَشٰرِبُوْنَ شُرْبَ اِلْھِيْمِ (۵۵) ھٰذَ انُزُلُھُمْ يَوْمَ الدِّيْنِ (۵۶) نَـحْنُ خَلَقْنٰكُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُوْنَ (۵۷) اَفَرَءَيْتُمْ مَّاتُـمْنُوْنَ (۵۸) ءَ اَنْتُمْ تَـخْلُقُوْنَهٗٓ اَمْ نَـحْنُ الْـخٰلِقُوْنَ (۵۹) نَـحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَكُمُ الْمَوْتَ وَمَا نَـحْنُ بِـمَسْبُوْقِيْنَ (۶۰) عَلٰٓي اَنْ نُّبَدِّلَ اَمْثَالَكُمْ وَنُنْشِئَكُمْ فِيْ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ (۶۱) وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ النَّشْاَةَ الْاُوْلٰي فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُوْنَ (۶۲) اَفَرَءَيْتُمْ مَّا تَـحْرُثُوْنَ (۶۳) ءَاَنْتُمْ تَزْرَعُوْنَهٗٓ اَمْ نَـحْنُ الزّٰرِعُوْنَ (۶۴) لَوْنَشَآءُ لَـجَعَلْنٰهُ حُطَامًا فَظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّھُوْنَ (۶۵) اِنَّا لَمُغْرَمُوْنَ (۶۶) بَلْ نَـحْنُ مَـحْرُوْمُوْنَ (۶۷) اَفَرَءَيْتُمُ الْمَآءَالَّذِيْ تَشْرَبُوْنَ (۶۸) ءَاَنْتُمْ اَنْزَلْتُمُوْهُ مِنَ الْمُزْنِ اَمْ نَـحْنُ الْمُنْزِلُوْنَ (۶۹) لَوْنَشَآءُ جَعَلْنٰهُ اُجَاجًا فَلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُوْنَ (۷۰) اَفَرَءَيْتُمُ النَّارَ الَّتِيْ تُوْرُوْنِ (۷۱) ءَاَنْتُمْ اَنْشَاْتُمْ شَـجَرَتَـھَآ اَمْ نَـحْنُ الْمُنْشِئُوْنَ (۷۲) نَـحْنُ جَعَلْنٰـھَا تَذْكِرَةً وَّمَتَاعًا لِّلْمُقْوِيْنَ (۷۳) فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْـمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيْمِ (۷۴) فَلَآ اُقْسِمُ بِـمَوَاقِعِ النُّجُوْمِ (۷۵) وَاِنَّهٗ لَقَسَمٌ لَّوْتَعْلَمُوْنَ عَظِيْمٌ (۷۶) اِنِّهٗ لَقُرْاٰنٌ كَرِيْمٌ (۷۷) فِيْ كِتٰبٍ مَّكْنُوْنٍ (۷۸) لَّا يَـمَسُّهٗٓ اِلَّا الْمُطَھَرُوْنَ (۷۹) تَنْزِيْلٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ (۸۰) اَفَبِـھٰذَا الْـحَدِيْثِ اَنْتُمْ مُّدْھِنُوْنَ (۸۱) وَتَـجْعَلُوْنَ رِزْقَكُمْ اَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُوْنَ (۸۲) فَلَوْلَآ اِذَابَلَغَتِ الْـحُلْقُوْمَ (۸۳) وَاَنْتُمْ حِيْنَئِذٍ تَنْظُرُوْنَ (۸۴) وَنَـحْنُ اَقْرَبُ اِلَيْهِ مِنْكُمْ وَلٰكِنْ لَّا تُبْصِرُوْنَ (۸۵) فَلَوْلَآاِنْ كُنْتُمْ غَيْرَمَدِيْنِيْنَ (۸۶) تَرْجِعُوْنَـھَآ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِيْنَ (۸۷) فَاَمَّآ اِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ (۸۸) فَرَوْحٌ وَّرَيْـحَانٌ وَّجَنَّتُ نَعِيْمٍ (۸۹) وَاَمَّآ اِنْ كَانَ مِنْ اَصْـحٰبِ الْيَمِيْنِ (۹۰) فَسَلٰمٌ لَّكَ مِنْ اَصْـحٰبِ الْيَمِيْنِ (۹۱) وَاَمَّآ اِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ الضَّآلِّيْنَ (۹۲) فَنُزُلٌ مِّنْ حَـمِيْمٍ (۹۳) وَّتَصْلِيَةُ جَـحِيْمٍ (۹۴) اِنَّ ھٰذَا لَھُوَ حَقُّ الْيَقِيْنِ (۹۵) فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْـمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيْمِ (۹۶)

The Significance of Dua in Islam

In the Holy Quran, there are numerous instances where we find emphasis on Dua. For example, in verse of Quran 25:77, we see:

"Say, My Lord would not care for you were it not for your prayer."
